DAY 1 - Choose Your Disaster

As I fly away, I leave behind a burning San Diego County, heading for an area of the country where tornado watches are in effect. On the plane, I watch my DVD of "Thirteen Days" mindful of the fact that it was 45 years ago this day that President John F. Kennedy addressed the nation on the Cuban Missile Crisis. Thankfully, that disaster never came to pass.
